Jurnal Ilmu Desain (Indonesian Journal for the Science of Design) is published three times a year to promote science and the professions of design within the following major concentrations: visual communication design, industrial design, architecture-interior design, craft design, design and culture, and design and technology.

The editor welcomes submissions in the form of theoretical reviews or practical aspect (report on design research and development) of design. The article is not necessarily in line with editor’s opinion.

Scope of the journal includes:

1. Design Theory (e.g. Design History, Design Critics, Design and Culture, Design Methodology, Design and Aesthetics)
2. Design and Technology (e.g. Design and Material Science, Engineering Product Design, Ergonomics Design and Human Factors, Interaction Design, Visual Communication Design and Urban Environment Design).
3. Design and Culture (e.g. Design and Aethetics, Material Culture, Artifact Design, Craft Design).

Submission Guideline

Article should be prepared in the format available in the back cover of the issues in two copies. The template format is in MS Word or Adobe Page Maker or Adobe InDesign, double spacing, A4 paper and the length of the manuscript is among one of the available options: (a) 12, (b) 14, (c) and (d) 18 pages. Manuscript must be submitted in both soft and hard copy formats.

Submitted article will undergo review by the editorial board prior to the publication decision.
Maximum length of abstract is 150 words in English for article in Indonesia Language or vice versa.

Author(s) identities must include author(s) full name(s), address, phone and fax number of current affiliation(s) and short biographies
